About

Lennox Alder is a Queer Pagan cartoonist. A lifelong artist, Lennox was self taught through grade school. His start was in copying manga panels and drawing emo catgirls. The rising popularity of webcomics in the 2010s kickstarted his interest in storytelling. In Highschool, his work was focused on detailed character relationships against a longform high fantasy story. As an adult, his focus is on shortform horror comics. Now, Lennox prefers to work with strong underlying themes and curate his worlds to communicate them.

He’s inspired by the comics of Val Wise and Grendel Menz, illustrations of Hyde Nikolaeve, storytelling of Lydia Collins, and the sculptures of Talula Merriweather. Much of Lennox’s art is often an entanglement of his Pagan practice, and his dream work, leaning his horror towards the surreal. Queer history and trauma inform his existentialism. His current project Our Soul to Keep reflects his fear of loving, and outliving someone.
